Starting at just $298, EL1200 Desktop Series PCs Pack a Powerful Punch Despite their Diminutive Size

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 10, 2008 – Weighing in at just one-third the size of a traditional PC, the new super compact eMachines EL1200 Desktop Series PCs pack as much computing power as most mainstream full size towers, without taking up limited desk space or much out of consumers’ wallets. Starting at less than $300, the EL1200 Series is an extreme value that’s sure to surprise and please many a shopper this holiday season.

The budget-friendly eMachines EL1200 is powerful enough for homework assignments or managing household finance programs, offering everything consumers need to get online, check email and Watch YouTube videos from any room in the house.

Small and light enough to fit on a shelf, book case or counter with ease, eMachines’ new small form factor desktop means consumers can now have a PC just about anywhere in the home.

“The extreme value of the eMachines EL 1200 is undeniable,” said Glenn Jystad, senior manager, desktop products. “The ability to purchase a powerful, well-equipped PC for less than $300 is sure to be a welcome option for consumers tightening their budgets in today’s tough economic climate.”

Stylish, Space Saving Design

Today PCs are being integrated into main living areas such as kitchens and family rooms, so small form factor PCs are perfect for the family den, studio apartments, dorm rooms, smaller bedrooms and home offices.

Forty percent smaller and 55 percent lighter than eMachines’ smallest tower PC, the EL 1200 is right at home next to the phone on a kitchen counter, where it can serve as the family’s digital hub, providing easy and quick access to family photos, address books and calendars, online recipes, email and traffic and weather reports.

Parents buying a PC for a child will appreciate the EL 1200’s price and ability to fit into a small bedroom. Its powerful capabilities and rich graphics deliver fast frame rates and great image quality, easily tackling games and video applications with ease.

Students needing a PC will appreciate its blend of affordability, functionality and size. Stowed away on a bookshelf, it’s ideal for smaller apartments and cramped dorm rooms. Powerful technologies make it well equipped for email, Web access and preparing and saving graphic-rich homework assignments, while its multimedia and entertainment features allow it to double as a media center.

Sleek Multimedia and Entertainment Center

Top-notch performance combined with digital media features make the EL1200 a powerful little dynamo. Featuring 64-bit AMD Athlon processing power, 1GB or 2GB of memory and rich NVIDIA GeForce graphics, the EL1200 provides the performance to tackle everyday tasks and more.

Popular multimedia activities, such as creating digital photo albums, uploading videos, and burning personalized music or photo disks are handled with ease. Even connecting to an HDTV is easy via its standard HDMI port, and high-quality audio is delivered with the included set of amplified stereo speakers.

Its sleek design includes a flip down door that hides the optical disk drive, keeping it free from dust and debris. The 14-in-one media reader provides fast transfer of videos, photos, and music, and seven USB ports provide quick connections to printers and other consumer electronics.

Roomy hard drives provide ample space for storing digital photo, video and music libraries. And for quick backups or additional storage, a built-in eSATA port provides a fast connection to external drives.

Smaller Design is Environmentally Responsible

Available with an innovative low-power 15 watt CPU, the energy efficient EL1200 uses less energy than a standard desktop PC. Its low power consumption also helps prolong component life and service costs.

In addition, its smaller size means less metal and plastic will have to be recycled. Its cardboard box is about 60 percent smaller than the one used for eMachines’ smallest tower PC, further reducing landfill waste.

LK iPad mini 6 Screen Protector [2 Pack]

$10.99

Buy from Amazon

Pros:

Cons:

The safety formula has been further combined with an oleophobic anti-fingerprint coating to ward off any fingerprint smudges.

Buy from Amazon

Cons:

No installation case

Cheaper options available

However, screen protection is still a priority as the MoKo HD clear screen protector for the iPad mini 6 comes with the much loved 9H hardness, thereby lending it premium scratch and drop protection. The Best Webcams For Your Mac You Can Buy Now

With so many people working from home these days, a solid, dedicated webcam might be a device you’re in the market for. In this roundup, you’ll find some of the best webcams you can buy right now. They’re from a range of companies, and offer plenty of worthwhile features depending on what you’re looking for.

In each of the webcam options, though, they’ll work great for your iMac, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro. There are options for just sitting down for a quick video call, saving a few bucks, options for gamers, content creators, and more.

So let’s hop right into it, shall we?

The best webcams for your Mac

Logitech C920 Pro

Wansview 1080p Webcam

Razer Kiyo

Logitech StreamCam

Logitech C920 Pro

The Logitech C920 Pro is a webcam that can fit whatever computer you need it to, thanks to the universal clamp. So if you need it to fit on a standard monitor, it can do that. Need it to attach a laptop? Got that covered, too. And it works with both PCs (Windows 7 and later) and Macs (macOS 10.10 or newer).

The webcam features things like automatic low light detection, so it can adjust your video as needed. There are a pair of built-in stereo microphones, which also feature automatic noise reduction. It will also fit on dedicated tripods as well.

The webcam supports up to 1080p HD video calling depending on the apps/platform. It supports standard video compression, and connects via USB. The webcam comes with a five foot cable included. Best of all, it’s a pretty small camera, so it’ll stay out of the way.

The Logitech C920 Pro webcam is available now from Amazon.

Buy Logitech C920 Pro for $79.80

Wansview 1080p Webcam

There are two microphones, and the camera features baked-in noise cancellation to make sure you sound crisp on your video calls. And the webcam supports a range of apps and services. It’s plug-and-play by design, so you won’t need any drivers or anything like that to get up and running. It is USB 2.0, and not USB-C, so you’ll need to find an adapter if you want to plug it directly into your current-generation MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or iMac.

The Wansview webcam also features auto low-light detection, an enhanced CMOS sensor that supports H.264/265 video compression technology. The camera can stream at up to 1080p HD at 30fps. This webcam is available now.

Buy the Wansview 1080p Webcam for $23.99

Razer Kiyo Pro

This one’s about performance and features. The Razer Kiyo Pro packs a lot in a small package. It features an L-joint mount so that the camera can be outfitted on a monitor or a tripod, based on your needs.

As far as the features are concerned, the Kiyo Pro is primarily focused on (no pun intended) giving you the best possible image capture despite your lighting setup. Inside there is a high-performance light sensor, a Type 1,2.8 ultra-sensitive CMOS option. It features STARVIS technology that makes it quick to adapt to any lighting scenario.

Razer says the Kiyo Pro is capable of streaming at an uncompressed 1080p at 60fps. However, if you keep things at 30fps, you can actually tap into High Dynamic Range (HDR) support. And finally, the Kiyo Pro also features a wide-angle lens with an adjustable field of view (FOV).

The Kiyo Pro from Razer connects via USB 3.0, and it’s available now from Amazon. You can also choose the non-Pro variant, or go with a packaged deal featuring a ring light accessory.

Logitech StreamCam

The Logitech StreamCam is for the live streamers out there. Designed specifically to be the go-to camera option for those who use streaming platforms like Twitch and/or YouTube, this will help you get a great picture to do just that. It connects via USB-C, and can stream at up to 1080p HD at a full 60fps.

It has a small clip so it can attach to your monitor or a tripod, and it has some noteworthy features as well. That includes auto face-tracking and smart auto-focus. So even as you shift in your seat, the Logitech StreamCam will keep its focus right on you.

Want to capture in portrait mode? The Logitech StreamCam can handle that by rotating the camera 90-degrees. This means you can even capture and upload content optimized for smartphones — without actually having to use your iPhone.

Logitech does note the camera is optimized for XSplit broadcasting software, as well as other options, too.

The Logitech StreamCam is available now from Amazon. It’s also available with a USB microphone combo pack as well.

The Silicone Case is available for each of the new iPhone 13 models. It’s available in Marigold, Abyss Blue, (PRODUCT)RED, Chalk Pink, Blue Jay, Clover, Midnight, and Pink Pomelo.
