Are you unable to download or install Elden Ring on your PC or console? Here is a full guide on how you can fix the Elden Ring installation error on your PC and console.
Elden ring is a newly launched action role-playing game published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is already getting popular amongst gaming enthusiasts. But, many gamers are getting stuck on its installation which is depleting the excitement of this game that was created by its launch. This installation error is reportedly experienced by both PC and console users.
Why is my Elden Ring not installing? We have dug deep into this issue to bring out the possible reasons for the installation problem with the Elden Ring game. Here are some of the potential causes for this issue:
Incorrectly passed temporary files can also result in these types of problems in consoles. If the scenario is applicable, it can be fixed by performing a power cycle procedure on your console.
If the problem occurs after the installation was interrupted previously, it can be caused due to corrupted game files. Hence, don’t attempt to reinstall the game from the game listing on Steam as it will lead to the same installation issue. And, try verifying the integrity of the game files.
Some files are large in the installation package that takes time to get repackaged, so this could be a possible reason for taking more time in installation or freeze point. So, be patient and try installing it again.
Installing from a physical source and using a PC with ram 8GB or less can be the reason for the error because all the resources are allocated to the installation of the game and your PC ends up freezing the Windows processes. So, to resolve the issue, use the RAM limiter at the start of installation so that installation goes smooth.
It can also be caused due to too many resource-hungry applications running in the background. In that case, you should be able to fix the issue by closing the background programs from Task Manager.
Another reason for the same can be a compatibility issue with the latest Windows version. If the scenario is applicable, you can try running the game installer in compatibility mode with Windows 7.
Elden Ring not downloading or installing on PC and ConsoleIf you are facing issue downloading the game, restart your PC, check your internet connection and download Elden Ring to a different location. That should work. Here are the potential fixes to resolve the problem if you are unable to install Elden Ring on PC or console:
Take time to unfreeze installation.
Restart your PC.
Perform a power cycle on your console.
Close unnecessary background applications.
Run in compatibility mode.
Use RAM Limiter option.
Disable or Temporarily uninstall your antivirus.
1] Take time to unfreeze installationFor the installation of big games like Elden Ring, there are some files (e.g., chúng tôi on installation which take time to get copied or repackaged to the system. The chúng tôi is the largest file in the installation folder of Elden Ring, so it will take time. Players are reporting that after some time (20 minutes), installation unfreezes itself and installation gets complete. The installation may look like it froze, while it is copying a big file (data0.bdt).
So, don’t rush to stop the installation and reinstall it again. Allow 25-30 minutes for the installation of the game so that it can have time to copy big files. However, if it goes beyond 30 minutes, you can follow other solutions we have mentioned below.
Do note that this issue possibly arises in a typical HDD (5400 rpm) which has low read/write speed. Hence, we recommend you use SSD or HDD with higher speed (7200 rpm).
2] Restart your PCIt is also possible that temporary corrupted files or cache or some glitch is creating hindrance in installations of the game. So, try restarting your system once as it might resolve the issue at hand. If not, you can move on to the next potential fix to get rid of the problem.
3] Perform a power cycle on your consoleYou can also try performing a power cycle on your console as it clears the corrupted cache on your console that might be causing the issue at hand.
Xbox Series S / Xbox one:
Here are the steps you can follow to perform a power cycle on your Xbox console:
Firstly, press and hold the power button on your console until you notice the front LED blinking.
Now, wait for 1-2 minutes and unplug the console.
Next, plug in your console and boot it again normally.
Finally, try to reinstall ELDEN RING and see if the issue is resolved.
PlayStation 5:
Try the below steps to power cycle your PlayStation 5 console:
First, press and hold the power button until you hear the fan turning off.
When the power light stops blinking, remove the power cable and leave the system for 2 minutes.
After waiting for 2-3 minutes, connect the power cable again and restart the device.
Now, try installing ELDEN RING again and see if the problem is fixed or not.
4] Close unnecessary background applicationsIn many instances, the installation is obstructed by some applications running in the background which takes memory and makes less memory available for the installation. This might create a hindrance for the installer to copy large files and installation might get stuck at some point. As a result, you are unable to install games like Elden Ring. Hence, it is highly recommended that you close all the unnecessary programs that are eating up your resources.
To close background applications and processes, you can open Task Manager using CTRL + ALT + DELETE hotkey. Then, go to the Processes tab and close all the background programs. After that, reattempt to install the game again and check whether or not the issue is fixed. If you are still unable to install the game, go ahead with the next potential fix to resolve the issue.
5] Run in compatibility modeThe reason that you are unable to install the game can be the fact that your Windows version isn’t compatible with game installation from a physical copy. Many gamers are currently experiencing this issue. Physical day 1 copies of Elden Ring are partially compatible with Windows 11. Although, there is some weird glitch that is preventing installations on certain versions of Windows 11. However, you should be able to bypass this problem completely by launching the game installer in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and 8.1.
Here are the steps to run the game installer in compatibility mode:
Now, from the context menu, select the Properties option.
In the Properties window, go to the Compatibility tab.
Inside the compatibility tab, tick on the “Run this program in compatibility for” checkbox and select Windows 7 or Windows 8 from the below options in the box.
Once the modifications are completed, reinstall the game and see if the installation gets completed this time. If the problem persists, move down to the next potential fix.
6] Use RAM Limiter optionIf your PC has limited RAM (8GB or less), then it is likely that installation may get stuck in between. Fortunately, the developer of the game i.e., FromSoftware Inc. has got the solution to this problem and they have added an option (RAM Limiter) in installation so that it does not take up all resources and can be smoothly installed on low-end systems. If this scenario is applicable, during the initial Elden Ring installation screen, you can check and use the RAM Limiter option.

7] Disable or Temporarily uninstall your antivirusCertain antiviruses can also create hindrances in the installation of the game. Bit-Defender is amongst the top antivirus in that list reported by the users. There are many other antiviruses that are causing the issue at hand. If the scenario is applicable, here are the major fixes that you can try:
Disable the Real-time protection on Antivirus while you install the game.
Add all files (e.g., setup) of the game on the whitelist/exempted list on antivirus. This allows the setup files to get exempted from the antivirus scan.
Uninstall the 3rd party antivirus suite.

Fix Xbox Controller Bluetooth Keeps Disconnecting On Xbox Console Or Pc
Xbox is a cherished and prized possession for those who’re into gaming. Gaming is exciting with this console. But what if the Xbox controller keeps disconnecting? In fact, it can happen with Windows PC as well, as the controller works with it too. Many Xbox users and PC gamers have reported that their controller keeps disconnecting and requested possible fixes. If you’re facing the same issue, don’t worry; we have provided some solutions you can try.
In this article, I am going to help you with solutions. However, before we could get to that, it’s essential to know why the Xbox controller keeps disconnecting in the first place. So, let’s have a look at that.
Why Does The Xbox Controller Keep Disconnecting? It can be very frustrating when your Xbox controller keeps disconnecting during gameplay. The interruption caused can even make you lose a winning match. So, you’re definitely irritated and want to know why your controller keeps disconnecting.
Well, there can be several reasons for the Xbox controller to get disconnected. You may be playing too far away from the console, the batteries might have got discharged, or your controller firmware must have become obsolete and needs an update.
All these reasons come with possible and easy fixes. Here’s a detailed list of the fixes you can try to stop your Xbox controller from disconnecting.
Xbox Controller Keeps DisconnectingThere are many different solutions that you can try to stop your Xbox controller from getting disconnecting during your game. Here’s a list of what you could do.
Move closer to the Console or PC
Change the batteries of the controller.
Reconnect the Controller.
Power Cycle the Xbox Console.
Update the Controller Firmware.
Replace the Controller.
Now that you have an overview let’s dig into more details about following these fixes.
1] Move Closer to the Console or PCThis fix mainly works when you are not using the wire to connect with a PC or Xbox. When using wireless controllers, you need to ensure that the controller is within the console’s range. If the controller keeps disconnecting, you’re probably moving out of the range that your console can catch. Since the console loses the availability of the controller, the controller gets disconnected.
The easiest thing you could do here is just moving closer to the console and see if it gets connected again. Check the range within which the controller remains connected and stay within that range.
Another thing that you need to ensure is that the controller is facing the front of the Device. So, check how the console is placed and alter it if there’s a need.
2] Change the Batteries of the ControllerIf the batteries of your controller are running low, it’s going to get disconnected. When the battery power drops to a certain percentage, the Xbox controller disconnects from time to time to give the user a warning that should charge.
So, when you’re facing the issue of the Xbox controller getting disconnected, again and again, check the battery levels on the indicator on the home screen of your console or Xbox Game Bar or Bluetooth device list on the PC. If the battery is indeed low, recharge the battery pack or replace the batteries altogether. That would solve the issue.
3] Reconnect the ControllerWhen using wired controllers, the frequent disconnection issue can arise due to loose connections or faulty cables. In this case, you can try reconnecting the controller to establish a better connection.
Just unplug the wire and plug it back to the console or PC. That should do the work. If it doesn’t fix the problem, try using another cable to plug your connector.
When using Wireless mode, it could be due to connectivity issues between the device and the controller. So, you may want to re-establish the connection by pairing it again. For reconnecting your wireless controller, follow the steps below:
Reconnect with Xbox
Press and hold the connect button on the connector and wait for the Xbox button to flash.
Repeat the same to turn on the controller once more.
See if the controller got reconnected and remains connected or not.
Reconnect with Windows PC
Locate the Xbox Controller in the paired device list
You should notice that the guide button on the Controller starts blinking.
Press the Pairing button on the controller
Most probably, the connector shall stay connected after you follow these steps.
4] Power Cycle the Xbox ConsoleSometimes, there can be issues with the Xbox console. So, restarting the console itself altogether can help solve the controller disconnection issue.
So, you can try to power cycle your console, which means turning it off and back on. To power cycle the Xbox console, go by the following steps:
Press and hold the power button (Xbox button) on your console until it turns off.
Wait for 30 seconds at the minimum.
Press the power button once again to turn it back on.
Once the console is power cycled, try connecting your Xbox controller with it and check if the issue is resolved.
The same can be applied to the PC by first shutting down, waiting for few seconds, and then finally restart.
5] Update the Controller FirmwareThe Xbox keeps releasing updates for the controller firmware. So, it would be best if you kept up with them. When a new controller firmware is released, the older one becomes obsolete. So, if you’ve not updated the controller firmware, the frequent disconnection issue may come, and updating the controller firmware would resolve the same.
If you’re wondering how you could update the firmware, here are the steps for the same.
Connect the controller and console with a USB cable.
Sign in to Xbox Live.
From the Settings menu, select Device and Accessories.
If the controller firmware is not outdated, the system shall notify you that No Update is Required. Otherwise, the update will begin. Hold on till the completion of the update. After that, connect back to the controller and check if the issue is resolved.
6] Replace the ControllerIf none of the above works, try using another controller and see if it keeps getting disconnected or not. Suppose the frequent disconnection issue gets fixed when you connect another controller, the controller that kept getting disconnected needs a replacement.
However, if the issue persists even with another controller, the Xbox console itself might be an issue. So, you may want to put it for servicing. If it’s the PC, you may try another Bluetooth adaptor.
Once your Xbox has been serviced, check out the controller again, and you can be sure of a great gaming experience without any disconnection issues whatsoever.
How Long Until an Xbox Controller Turns Off?Xbox Controller stays connected with the console or PC for up to 10 minutes when left idle and is already connected. If you turn on the controller and cannot connect over Bluetooth, it will turn off early.

Pc Vs Console Gaming: The Pros And Cons
If you want to play the latest and greatest triple-A video games, you have to decide where you stand in the PC vs. console debate. PCs and consoles are becoming more and more alike every day. So what are the actual differences that matter when deciding how to use your gaming budget?
We’re going to touch on ten of the most important differences when it comes to PCs vs. consoles, making it easy to choose which one is right for you.
Table of Contents
Consoles Are Easier for Gamers Who Aren’t Tech-SavvyA console is designed to be a piece of consumer electronics, like a toaster or a DVD player.
You launch a game on your console and you start playing the game. You don’t need to know anything about the technology inside the console, how the game works on a technical level. Just play and enjoy your game.
Console Hardware Is Less ExpensiveIf you had to buy a computer with comparable specifications to the latest Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, you’d end up with a bill that’s much higher on the PC side of things. The initial cost for console gaming is much lower than a PC. If you limit yourself to only the price tag of getting the machine itself into your home, consoles are the clear winner.
Of course, in reality things are more complicated than that. For a more complete discussion check out Is A Gaming PC Really More Expensive Than A Console?
Consoles Have Limited FunctionsConsoles are video game machines. A modern console can play games, browse the internet, run apps such as Netflix and play DVD or BluRay discs. On a PC, you are free to install whatever applications you like, an Office suite, emulation software, or video editing tools, to name a few.
Consider that many people need a PC for other purposes such as work. It might make more sense to consolidate your gaming and non-gaming activities into a single device.
Console Games Can Be More ExpensiveWhile this isn’t always true for some cross-platform games, console games tend to have higher prices, especially over time because of platform license fees and a lack of digital storefront competition. Digital PC games are sold by multiple competing companies. Price drops and sales tend to be deeper and more frequent than with consoles.
Consoles Are Reliable and Punch Above Their WeightConsoles are much less complicated than PCs because they have a fixed operating system and hardware chúng tôi console maker is in full control and users are locked out of system-level changes, thus implying that things don’t just randomly go wrong with a console. A PC might be suddenly crippled by a driver update, Windows Update or a virus, among other things.
PCs Have Better Backwards CompatibilityBackwards compatibility between console generations is a hit-and-miss affair.
For example:
PS5 is compatible with PS4 games, but not PS3, PS2 or PS1 games.
On Xbox, there’s compatibility all the way back to the original Xbox, but not for every single game.
On PCs, you can play any game you like all the way back to the very first games. It may take some work to get old titles running, but there’s almost always a way to do it. PCs can emulate games from consoles, so it really does offer the widest selection of titles on a single machine.
PC Hardware and Game Settings Are More FlexibleConsole designers carefully choose what hardware goes into their machines, but they might have different priorities than you do. If you prefer high-frame rates over 4K visuals, you might configure your PC with a better CPU and a more modest GPU, for example.
The same goes for in-game settings. On a console you don’t have control over how a game spends the hardware budget available. On a PC, you can change the settings of a game to match what you want to get out of it.
PCs Lack Physical GamesWhile consoles are slowly heading for an all-digital future, right now you can still buy games on disk. When you’re done, you can resell them. You can also buy used console games, which can be very cheap if you get a good deal. Most PCs don’t have disk drives anymore. And even if you bought a PC game on disk, it’s likely a single-use copy with a code that gets permanently tied to an online service.
PC Gaming Has Fewer Hidden CostsSince PCs are an open platform, you won’t have to pay for basic services like you do with online gaming. On a console, subscription services aren’t really optional anymore. You need them for multiplayer, cloud saves, and to access the best game discounts.
While console subscription services are usually worth it thanks to those deals and the included free games, it’s still unfortunate that you don’t get the choice to cut this particular cost.
PCs Have Better Peripheral Options PC vs. Console: Which Should You Buy?As you can tell, when it comes to PCs vs. consoles there’s no clear-cut winner. What matters is:
how much you care about choice,
getting the cutting edge gaming experience,
and whether you have tolerance for the more technical aspects of PC gaming.
That being said, PC gaming is a lot easier these days and most new games automatically configure themselves for your hardware. The choice is ultimately yours, but now you have a handy list of strengths and weaknesses to help you make the best decision for your needs.

How To Get Instagram Or Snapchat On Windows Pc
In this age where everyone is on Social Media, Instagram and Snapchat are the top services along with WhatsApp and Facebook that people are using to share with the world whatever they are doing – their vacations and what not! People are using Snapchat to send disappearing messages, photos and videos along with Stories. Whereas, people use Instagram to upload photos and videos, post their Stories and send disappearing photo messages. Today, we will show how you can use Instagram or Snapchat on Windows 11/10/8/7 PC.
Snapchat was first released in September 2011 with the initial concept of people sharing what they have been doing lately and communicating with each other by sending photos and videos. Since then it has been six years, and the service has evolved a lot since then. Now, the V10 of Snapchat has a better UI with features like AR Objects being placed in users’ surroundings people using AR-based face masks. And AR being a major area of focus by major tech giants like Apple, Microsoft, and more, it keeps more opportunities for developers, content creators and companies themselves to do more in both development and financial terms. Snapchat is available for Android and iOS, and no official Windows 10 app is rumored to come.
Instagram was released earlier in October 2010 for iOS and in October 2012 for Android phones. After a long time of not updating the Windows Phone app, they released a new Windows 10 app for Mobile and PC in 2023. These new apps were brought to Windows from iOS as a result of Facebook’s OSMeta technology to port apps across platforms. Since then, the Windows 10 apps are being regularly updated to be kept feature-rich as compared with the Android and iOS apps. Instagram was acquired by Facebook for $1 Billion in 2012. Facebook later offered to acquire Snapchat for $3 Billion cash but the offer was turned down by Snapchat, and as a result, Facebook introduced Instagram Stories cloning the old Snapchat Stories and other similar features competing directly with Snapchat! And believe it or not, Instagram Stories are used more than Snapchat Stories.

Can you use Snapchat or Instagram on a Windows computer? Can you use Snapchat on a Windows PC? Yes, it is possible to use Snapchat on a Windows 11/10 computer. Yes, this app works best on Android and iOS for now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have some fun on Windows 11/10 as well. Just know that the experience might not be as good as you want it to be.
There are multiple ways to use Snapchat or Instagram on a Windows 11 or Windows 10 computer. The information below should improve your knowledge of such things. We have taken the example of Snapchat but a similar procedure needs to be followed for Instagram.
Use Snapchat on the web without having to log inOne of the first things you can do here is to use Snapchat via the web. You won’t get the full experience, so this is something you need to keep in mind.
Use Snapchat on the web while logged inThe downside here is no option to upload content. No option to take selfies, etc.
Why is it better to use emulated apps?We recommend using the emulation of Android apps on Windows PCs rather than using Windows 11/10 apps like Instagram due to certain real distinguishing factors. First of all, many Windows PC apps don’t support every feature that the mobile variants of the apps do. This includes the photo and video upload from the Windows PC app for Instagram. And as many top Android and iOS apps like Snapchat are not available for Windows 11/10 like Snapchat, it is obvious for the person to use emulators like Bluestacks or Noxplayer and Andy Android Emulator.
How to use Instagram or Snapchat on Windows PC using emulatorsThere are times when a user does not want to switch devices just to use an app. Or maybe, they might be using an older, unsupported, or feature phone then they have a PC as an alternative to be used to run these apps via emulation.
There are plenty of freeware available for Android apps on Windows PCs like Bluestacks, Noxplayer and Andy Android Emulator. So, we are going to talk about how to use them to emulate Instagram and Snapchat apps on Windows PC.
1] Using Instagram or Snapchat via BluestacksIn order to use Snapchat on your Windows 11/10 computer more effectively, we suggest downloading & installing Bluestacks. For your information, BlueStacks X is their online app that lets you play Android games in the cloud without having to install anything on your PC.
Here are the steps in a nutshell:
First of all, download Bluestacks and install the 254 MB executable file.
Set up all the account information like linking to Google Account and set up payments if you want to, else skip.
Now, use the search bar to look up Snapchat or Instagram according to what app you want to emulate.
Now when the app is installed, open it and log in with your credentials.
You are now good to use it!
Here are some of the screenshots from my hands-on time with Bluestacks:
2] Using Instagram or Snapchat via Andy Android EmulatorOnce you have downloaded and installed Andy Android Emulator, set it up.
Now, go to Google Play Store and search for your desired app.
Download the app and install it which in this case would be Instagram or Snapchat.
You are all set!
Here are some on the screenshots of Andy from my hands-on time:
3] Using Instagram or Snapchat via NoxplayerIf you’re not interested in using Bluestacks, then we would like to recommend Noxplayer. Follow the instructions there and you will have no problems using Snapchat.
