Kernel Power Blue Screen On Windows 11/10

Windows 11/10 depends on several resources and software components to function as intended. Just for powering the machine, several smaller software components are supporting it. Some users are reporting Kernel Power Blue Screen error triggered by the Windows Kernel with usually a Windows Kernel Event ID 41 error. It randomly turns off and reboots the computer.

PowerButtonTimestamp 0Converts to 0x9f (0x3, 0xfffffa80029c5060, 0xfffff8000403d518, 0xfffffa800208c010)

The cause for this error is an issue with the Power Supply components in both Hardware and Software parts.

NOTE: If your PC is stuck in a reboot loop, you may need to carry out the following steps via Safe Mode or Advanced Startup Options screen.

Fix Kernel Power Bluescreen on Windows 11/10

To troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, you need to debug the crashed system dump files. But if you are an end-user, you could try the following suggestions:

Undo Overclocking – if done.

Run the Power troubleshooter.

Replace the Power Supply Unit.

Run Memory Diagnostics tests.

Check RAM physically.

Update or reset BIOS.

Disable Fast Startup.

1] Undo overclocking

If you have Overclocked your system, first undo the overclocking and see if that makes the BSOD go away.

2] Run the Power Troubleshooter

Run the Power Troubleshooter and let it fix the issues if any are found.

Microsoft provides a dedicated section for the user to be able to run different types of troubleshooters inside the Windows 10 Settings app.

Finally, select Run the troubleshooter. Follow the onscreen instructions to detect and fix the issue.

3] Replace the Power Supply Unit

You can also try to physically replace the PSU or Power Supply Unit of your computer and check if that fixes your issues.

4] Run Memory Diagnostics tests

You can type, mdsched.exe in the Run box found in the WIN + X buttons and then hit Enter. It will launch the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and will give you the following options:

Restart now and check for problems (Recommended)

Check for problems the next time I start my computer

As per your choice, a scan will take place in the memory and will fix any issues found automatically.

Alternatively, you can use Memtest and check if that fixes your issues.

5] Check RAM physically

It is a bit tricky and technical. If you tend to use multiple physical RAMs on your computer, you need first to check if they are of the same frequency. And after that, verify that the chip is properly compatible. If the sockets are attached using some adapter or non-recommended apparatus, it can cause some issues while giving a performance hit to the computer.

If you find such setup,  make sure that to call in someone, and install the hardware correctly.

6] Update or reset BIOS

The primary solution for this error is to update the system BIOS. If it does not help you may reset BIOS and see. Follow the link to the guide to understand the reset procedure.

7] Disable Fast Startup

Fast Startup helps your computer to boot faster than usual. We suggest that you disable the Fast Startup. Reboot the computer, and monitor if you get the issue again. If it is resolved – good – else reverse the changes made.

If nothing helps you may need to contact your local hardware technician or Microsoft Support.

Suppose you encountered the system cannot contact a domain controller to service the authentication request error. In that case, your computer cannot connect to the server that authenticates users in the Windows domain.

Here in this guide, we will talk about ways to fix the issue right after discussing the reasons for its occurrence.

There could be various reasons for active directory domain controllers cannot be contacted on Windows 10 or 11. Some of the popular ones mentioned are:

The domain controller is offline – You might get this error if the domain controller is unavailable or offline due to maintenance or power outage.

Network issues – If the client device is not correctly configured to establish communication with a domain controller, or there are issues in the network, you might face the problem.

Host server issues – A domain controller is a virtual machine; if there is an issue on the host server, you could get the error.

Incorrect DNS configuration – If the DNS configuration of the client machine is incorrect, it won’t resolve the domain controller’s hostname to an IP address, hence the issue.

Before diving into the detailed troubleshooting, make sure you perform these general checks:

Remove the security program on your machine temporarily.

Remove the VPN if installed.

1. Check Event logs 2. Check if the Domain controller is accessible

Go to Search, type CMD, and press Run as administrator.

Type the following command and press Enter: ipconfig /all

Copy the IPV4 value and type the following command to know if the server is accessible. Then, replace the IP address with the IPV4 address shown on your machine:  ping 192.168.1.148

Tip

Repeat the same steps on the client’s machine to ensure it is connected to the network and can communicate with the domain controller.

3. Check the Network Configuration settings  4. Add the Domain Controller again

Tip

To add the domain controller, you can follow the same steps you previously used to add it or refer to the method here

So, these are methods that you can use to fix the system cannot contact a domain controller to service the authentication request error.

5 Ways To Fix “Your Organization’s Data Cannot Be Pasted Here” Error In Windows

Your computer displays a “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” error when you attempt to paste data across Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) without administrative authorization. Temporary software glitches on your computer or Office application can also trigger the error.

This tutorial covers five ways to fix issues causing the “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” error on Windows and Mac computers.

Table of Contents

1. Modify the Intune Application Protection Policy

Companies use Microsoft Intune app protection policies to safeguard data on computers issued to employees. You’ll get the “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” error if your company’s Microsoft Intune policy settings restrict data transfer outside work applications.

If you have administrative access, modify your company’s Microsoft Intune protection policy to allow data transfer outside managed apps. Alternatively, create a new policy that allows data transfer between any application.

Note: Contact your administrator if you can’t access your company or organization’s Microsoft Intune dashboard.

Sign in to your company or organization’s Microsoft Intune dashboard.

Select the

Apps

option on the left sidebar and choose

App protection policies

.

Select an existing policy setting and head to the “Data Transfer” section. Next, set the “Restrict cut, copy, and paste between other apps” option to

Any app

.

If your company or organization has no app protection policy, select the Create policy option to make one.

Select

OK

to save changes to the protection policy settings.

Restart your computer if you still get the “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” error after disabling data transfer restrictions in Microsoft Intune.

2. Reboot Your Computer

You might encounter problems copying or pasting data if your Office app is unresponsive or lagging. Closing the Office application and restarting your computer might resolve the issue.

Ensure you save or back up your file before closing your Office app or rebooting your computer, so you don’t lose unsaved work.

Reboot Windows PC

Open the Start menu, select the Power icon, and select Restart.

Reboot macOS Computer

Select the Apple icon on the menu bar and select Restart.

3. Update the Microsoft Office Suite

Microsoft Office applications sometimes malfunction and throw error messages if they are buggy or out-of-date. Update your Microsoft Office applications and check if you can copy or paste export data across the apps.

Connect your computer to the internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and follow the steps below to update your Office application.

Open the Office application and open the

File tab

on the Ribbon.

Select

Account

on the sidebar.

Expand the

Update Options

drop-down option and select

Update Now

.

You’ll get another notification when the update is complete. Close the update client, reopen the Office application, and check if you can now copy and paste data.

You can also update Office Suite apps from the Microsoft Store. Refer to our tutorial on updating Microsoft Office apps for step-by-step instructions.

4. Paste Into a Different File or Document

Sometimes, the “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” error is file-specific. Open a new file in the Office application and check if you can paste copied text.

If successful, the document/file you can’t paste into is likely corrupt. One way around this issue is to duplicate the problematic Office document and check if you can paste text in the duplicate copy.

Repair the document if the error persists. Refer to our tutorial on repairing damaged or corrupt Office documents for instructions.

5. Enable Editing on the File

The first time you open a file downloaded from the internet in Office apps, the file opens in read-only mode. This mode is called the “Protected View,” a security feature that reduces the risk of damaged or potentially malicious files infecting your computer.

You can’t paste or modify texts in documents open in Protected View. Microsoft Office apps display a “PROTECTED VIEW” message below the ribbon when a file isn’t editable.

Select the Enable Editing button at the end of the message to allow modifications in the document.

Try pasting text in the document and check if disabling Protected View stops the “Your organization’s data cannot be pasted here” error. Check if you’re authorized to copy or paste data in the app if the error persists.

Paste Your Organization’s Data Anywhere, Anytime

These troubleshooting methods can help you overcome limitations preventing you from pasting data in Office applications on your computer. Contact Microsoft Support, repair the Office application, or contact your company’s IT support department if the problem persists.

Microsoft has developed a new, modern, feature-rich terminal application called Windows Terminal. It’s meant to gather all the command-line tools like Command Prompt and PowerShell in one place.

This is quite a nifty idea, and in the opinion of many Windows 10 users, long overdue. Although it’s initially intended for developers, anyone who wants to enter a few command lines is welcome.

Not only that but regular updates and constant development are promised.

While Windows Terminal is officially out, Microsoft only allows you to install it via Microsoft Store in Windows 10.

What does Windows Terminal do?

One of the main features of this new terminal application is multiple-tab support. Windows 10 users have asked for this forever, and now it’s finally happening.

What this actually means? It means that you will be able to open, for example, Command Prompt, PowerShell, WSL, and Raspberry Pi all at once, each on a separate and connected tab. And all that under a single Windows Terminal window.

Other notable features include a new text rendering engine that will allow the display of a lot more symbols, text characters, glyphs, and even emojis and a new open-source monospaced font.

Along with this, many more customization options and profiles with different font styles, colors, transparency, and other things, let you decide how Windows Terminal looks and feels.

What does my PC need to run Windows Terminal?

Before you start, there are some very important prerequisites:

How can I install Windows Terminal without Microsoft Store?

1. Download the .msixbundle file from the latest release for Microsoft Terminal from GitHub. It is available in the Assets section.

2. Launch a Powershell window to the file location of the downloaded file.

3. Type this command, and replace [name] with the full name of the downloaded file : Add-AppxPackage [name]

In our case, the command looks like this: Add-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsTerminalPreview_Win10_1.16.2641.0_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle

4. Press Enter to run the command.

5. Windows Terminal has been installed and you can now use it on your PC.

If you don’t want to install Windows Terminal from the Microsoft Store, there is a quick workaround for this. You can install it directly from the source code.

Yes, that’s right. Windows Terminal it’s open-source and you can find all the things you need on GitHub’s dedicated page for it.

If something isn’t right or you can’t find certain things, there is a README file as well as some scripts in the /tools directory.

As you can see, it’s pretty simple to take an early look at Microsoft’s new Windows Terminal. Just head over to GitHub and clone, build, test, and run the Terminal in any way you want.

Of course, if you find any bugs or issues with the source code for GitHub’s Windows Terminal, share them with the world so everyone may contribute and get rid of them.

How can I install Windows Terminal from Microsoft Store on Windows 10?

If you would rather use the Store to install this tool, feel free to do so. This is the fastest way of getting the tool on your PC. This is what you need to do:

Learn more about a variety of PowerShell commands you can run on Windows 10 by reading our guide.
