The main principle here is to be careful. We’ll go into that more in the next section, but if you damage the electronics in a USB-C port, the connection might stop working. You might even short out the device as a whole, though that’s unlikely.
Follow this checklist:
First, blow air into the port to clear out loose debris. If you’re lucky this may be the only step involved, but you will probably want a can of compressed air. Aim the included nozzle straw directly into the port and use one-second bursts. Be sure to hold the can itself perfectly vertical, however, since angling it can potentially spray liquids.
If you still suspect there’s debris in the port, find a toothpick, a disposable dental pick, or a similar object small enough to get into the port that isn’t metal, sharp, or fuzzy. In the case of a wooden toothpick, you may need to file it down for size reasons.
Insert the cleaning tool from step 2, gently working around the sides to scrape out material. Try to avoid the actual USB connector prong at the back.
Use another blast of air to force out any newly-loosened debris.
If there’s still material in the port, repeat steps 2 through 4.

Avoid getting liquids into the port, whether from a compressed air can or something else. If this does happen, make sure the device is powered down and allowed to dry. You can use cool air to speed things up, but not a hot-air dryer.

Step 4: Adjust the Boot Camp partition size by moving the Windows partition to the desired amount of space. You’ll want to leave enough room for your macOS installation, but you’ll also want to allocate enough storage space for the Windows 10 partition. A lot will depend on how much space you have, and how you plan on utilizing the Windows 10 installation. If you plan on installing a large amount of Windows 10 applications and games, then you’ll need to take that into consideration.
Install Windows 10Step 10: The installation process will now commence. Windows Setup will copy needed files, and install features and updates. The installation process should only take a few minutes. Once it’s complete, your Mac will automatically reboot after 10 seconds.

Activate Windows or join the Windows Insider ProgramYou have two (actually three) choices from here. You can purchase a Windows 10 Activation key and activate Windows, or you can sign up to the Windows Insider Program. The downside of joining the Windows Insider program is that you’ll be running prerelease versions of Windows 10, which could possibly come with stability issues. Activating the Windows Insider Program on your installation also means that you’re willing to deliver usage data to Microsoft and its partners. The upside of the Windows Insider Program is that it provides you with a genuine activation without having to pay out of pocket.
The “third” choice is to not Activate Windows at all, but that’s not a choice I recommended. You can still use Windows 10 even if it’s not activated, but Microsoft will bug you with a watermark, and restrict the amount of personalization that you can make to the OS. So the moral to the story is this: Activate it, by paying or joining Windows Insider Program, if you use it.
Rebooting into macOS or WindowsYou can easily switch between macOS or Windows by holding the Option key on your keyboard while rebooting. When you do, you’ll be able to select between the Windows and macOS installations.

7 Ways To Clean Up Windows Startup Programs
One of the most frustrating experiences when using Windows is that it runs like a tortoise during the startup. Some of the programs installed in the computer, such as anti-malware, productivity and third-party apps and other system services, run automatically during the process, which can bog down our CPU and memory. This guide shows how to clean up your Windows Startup programs so that it can run fast on startup.

1. Spring-Cleaning the Startup FolderWindows apps often automatically start during system boot-up, and some even add themselves to the Startup folder. It’s recommended to check this folder for any unwanted apps.
To disable these apps that start automatically with Windows, remove their shortcuts from the Startup folder:
Open the “Start menu,” type “Run” in the search bar, then select the top result to launch the app.
In the “Run” app, type the command shell:startup and press “OK.”
Select the apps you want to disable and press Delete on your keyboard.
This tweak deletes the shortcut but not the program itself. Restart the system and see how the PC responds.
2. Halt Them Using Task ManagerIf you want to control which programs run when your computer starts up, use the Task Manager by following these steps:
Repeat the last step for any other apps that are causing performance issues during startup.
