As part of this overhaul of privacy, all services including Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp have seen some minor changes and features added as well as privacy user-interface simplification. Especially within deeper privacy menus. The most noticeable change being the ability to download a full copy of your account information from all services. How To Get Banned From Whatsapp

WhatsApp is used by millions of people all over the world, but not everyone uses it for the same reasons. Some use it to communicate with family and friends, while others use it for reasons that get their accounts suspended.

There are various reasons why WhatsApp suspends an account. If your account is suspended, you will not be able to access your account and talk to your contacts.

Using an Unofficial App

One of the reasons you might be banned is that you are using a non-official app such as WhatsApp Plus. Users who have been banned because they used this app get a message stating that WhatsApp Plus is an app that was not developed by WhatsApp and that it contains a source code that WhatsApp can’t label as safe. WhatsApp also wants you to use their original app and not an unauthorized duplicate.

WhatsApp also warns that with WhatsApp Plus your information is being passed to third parties without your permission. WhatsApp doesn’t want you using this app because it doesn’t consider it safe for you to use.

Sending Too Many Messages to Users That Don’t Have You as a Contact

Another reason to be banned is because you sent too many messages to others who don’t have you in their contacts. In short, you are spamming others. It would be a good idea to have the people you send messages to put you in their contacts.

Getting Blocked by Too Many Users

Another reason you could be banned from WhatsApp is that you are getting blocked too many times by other users in a short amount of time. If you don’t want to get banned, play nice and stop spamming others.

Creating Too Many Groups and Adding People You Don’t Know

Limiting yourself on how many groups you create is a good idea since creating too many of them and adding people you don’t know can also get you banned. If you ever need to send the same message to a lot of people, use “Broadcast List” because if you use the Copy and Paste method you will get banned.

How to Create and Edit a Broadcast List

If you are not familiar with the Broadcast List feature, with this handy tool you can send a message to various friends simultaneously.

To create a Broadcast List, follow these steps:

Open WhatsApp

Tap on the Menu button (depending on your device it will either be on the right or left of the home button)

Select “Create Broadcast”

Create your message

If you want to edit your Broadcast List:

Open the Broadcast List

Select the (i) button on the list you wish to edit

Once at the Info Screen for the list, choose whether you want to change the name of your Broadcast List or add or remove people from the list by tapping on Edit list.

Using WhatsApp to Advertise Your Product/Blog

As soon as WhatsApp starts noticing unusual activity, it automatically suspends that account. If you happen to be in that situation, keep reading to discover how you can recover your suspended WhatsApp account.

Recover Your Suspended WhatsApp Account

Don’t forget to include the model of your phone and explain that you think you have done nothing wrong (hopefully you haven’t, at least on purpose).

Whatsapp Stickers: How To Use And Everything You Need To Know

WhatsApp has recently been on a grind developing and releasing new features regularly to make the messaging app even more engaging and simple to use. WhatsApp is currently the most popular messaging platform in the world and has a monthly user base of around 1.5 billion people.

One of the most popular features on WhatsApp currently is the ability to send stickers in chats without having to leave the application. The WhatsApp sticker feature is super fun to use and makes any conversation so much more engaging.

If you’ve just received the update or are looking to find out a bit more information about the new feature, then you’re in the right place. Let’s take a look at all you need to know about WhatsApp Stickers.

Related:

What are WhatsApp Stickers

As the name suggests ‘Stickers’ are cool illustrations or images without a background. WhatsApp now lets developers and creators design sticker packs and publish them on the Play Store for users to download and use in chats.

Before the update, the only way to send stickers was through third-party applications and whenever you wanted to send a sticker you would have to open the third-party sticker app and share the sticker from there. With the new WhatsApp Stickers feature, users can share stickers from within the WhatsApp application in the same way as we share emoji and gifs.

How to get the WhatsApp stickers feature

The feature was first rolled out to WhatsApp Beta users on version 2.18.329. Now, the Sticker feature is being made available to all users on the stable build of the application as well.

You would have to update the WhatsApp application to the latest version to get the stickers feature. To do this, follow these steps:

Open the Google Play Store and swipe in from the left edge of the device.

Now tap on My apps & games. This should automatically scan for new app updates. You might see the WhatsApp update available and then tap on UPDATE.

Wait for the application to be updated.

Once you have updated WhatsApp, the feature should now be available for you to use.

How to use the Stickers

Sharing WhatsApp stickers is fairly simple and the process is similar to sharing emojis. If you are unable to locate the stickers feature, then there’s no reason to panic since we’ve got you covered. Here’s a couple of steps required to send a sticker.

While in a chat, tap on the Emoji icon in the “Type a message bar.”

Tap on the stickers button.

Pick the sticker pack from which you want to send a sticker by tapping on the sticker pack icons at the top bar of the stickers tab.

Now simply tap on the sticker you want to send.

You can also check out our detailed guide on ‘how to send WhatsApp stickers‘.

How to save Stickers to favorites

The ability to save stickers as favorites is super useful since you might download a dozen or more sticker packs for WhatsApp but only have a few favorites.

There are three ways you could add stickers to your favorites and we’ve already created a detailed guide on how to save WhatsApp stickers to favorites. Check out the article to take your sticker game to the next level.

How to remove WhatsApp stickers

Not all WhatsApp sticker packs are created equally, some are absolutely fantastic while some aren’t as good which is why you may end up wanting to remove a few sticker packs.

Well, there are 2 ways to go about removing a WhatsApp sticker pack so let’s take a look at how to do so.

Method 1: Uninstall the sticker pack

The first method is super easy and follows the same process as uninstalling any other application on your Android device.

Head over to your application list and find the sticker pack you want to remove.

Long press on the sticker pack and then wait for a pop-up menu to appear. Depending on your OEM skin you might see Uninstall or a simple Trashcan icon. Tap on the Uninstall/Trashcan button and then confirm the uninstall by tapping on yes when you see the pop-up to confirm the uninstall.

Method 2: Delete from WhatsApp

You can also directly delete the sticker pack from WhatsApp by performing just a few steps.

Launch the WhatsApp application and open a chat.

Tap the Emoji button and then tap on the Sticker icon which should be at the bottom bar.

Now on the stickers bar, you should see a + icon towards the right. Tap on this to open up the Stickers menu.

Head over to the My Stickers tab. You would be able to see all the sticker packs currently installed on your device.

Now, simply tap on the delete icon at the side if the Sticker pack you want to remove from WhatsApp, then tap on delete again.

That’s it. The sticker pack would be removed from your WhatsApp.

How to create custom stickers for WhatsApp

The best thing about the new WhatsApp Stickers update is that users can create their very own stickers and share them using the Stickers option within WhatsApp.

It might seem tricky to create your own stickers and you might be wondering if you’d need to design your own stickers, luckily, that’s not the case. Creating your own stickers is quite simple and in case you’re interested in doing so, then you can check out our detailed guide on how to create your own custom stickers for WhatsApp.

Best WhatsApp sticker apps download

There are a lot many sticker packs for WhatsApp available on the Google Play Store as well as outside the Play Store in downloadable APK files. This makes it very time consuming to search for the sticker pack which you might like the most.

To make life easier for you, we’ve compiled a list of the best WhatsApp sticker packs available right now. The article features several of the best sticker packs from different categories for you to download.

The 5 Best Whatsapp Alternatives

More than a billion people around the globe use WhatsApp to stay in touch, and while people have been looking for alternatives in the wake of some recent controversies, it can be difficult to quit if your friends circle is already entrenched.

Nevertheless, you may want to leave WhatsApp because you’d rather avoid a service owned by Facebook. Or maybe the recent terms of service changes still bother you. Or perhaps you just want to try something new, as each chat service offers distinct selling points. Here are five messaging alternatives for you and your friends.

Signal

Signal

Signal for iOS.

The easiest transition coming from WhatsApp would be Signal. WhatsApp’s encryption scheme is based on Signal’s work, and many of the same features you’re looking for can be found here. Signal offers end-to-end encryption and you can carry out group chats, video chats, and voice calls. You can also share photos and videos, GIFs, emojis, and more. Signal prides itself on its powerful privacy promise, but it still functions as a modern, full-featured messaging app.

One thing Signal does lack is an equivalent to WhatsApp Web for viewing your chats in a web browser on any device. That said, the service offers a desktop app that achieves similar functionality. Unlike WhatsApp, however, Signal’s desktop app only shows new messages from the point you started using it (thanks to the strict way it handles encryption and privacy). You cannot see older messages as you can with WhatsApp.

Signal also supports disappearing messages if you use that feature on WhatsApp. Unlike WhatsApp, however, you can customize the amount of time before messages start disappearing.

If you want to get started with Signal we’ve got an article explaining everything you need to know.

Wire

Wire Swiss

Wire is a little odd to use, but it gets the job done with video calls, voice calls, one-to-one and group chats. Wire’s end-to-end encryption also uses a ratchet system like Signal and others.

Telegram

Telegram

Telegram is another incredibly popular messaging app. It also supports end-to-end encryption, but as an optional feature dubbed Secret Chats that must be enabled on a per-conversation basis. Telegram’s encryption scheme is also proprietary in contrast to the open source approach that Signal and others take. That means that we can’t know how good (or bad) Telegram’s approach to privacy is, since outside experts cannot examine the encryption on their own terms.

Telegram started life based in Russia but is now based in Dubai.

Viber

Viber Media

The last WhatsApp alternative that use your phone number at sign-up, Viber has been around for close to 10 years. It supports video and voice calls, one-to-one text messages, and group messages. Additionally, there’s a feature called Communities that basically offers group chats with few member limits and greater control for administrators.

Viber’s end-to-end encryption, like Telegram, is proprietary; however, the company says it does use the same basic idea of a ratchet system like Signal.

As with some other WhatsApp alternatives, Viber offers a desktop app in addition to mobile.

Keybase

Keybase

Finally, if you’d like something a little on the geeky side and can get your friends to go along with it, then we’d suggest Keybase as an interesting choice. Keybase started primarily as a method to prove your identity online. Now, however, Keybase has a multitude of functions such as messaging, the ability to encrypt and sync documents between devices, and share documents and folders with other users.

Keybase’s messaging is more limited than Signal or Telegram. It doesn’t support video or voice calls, and whether or not it gets those features may depend on Keybase’s new parent company, Zoom. Keybase does offer disappearing messages and group chats (called Teams) that Keybase positions as a Slack alternative, however.

Keybase is available for Android and iOS, and there are also desktop apps for Windows, Mac, and Linux. We should also note that in Keybase’s announcement of the Zoom acquisition it did not guarantee that the Keybase apps would be sticking around.

And there you have it! Five good—great, even—alternatives to WhatsApp. Each messaging app comes with its own unique character, and with five options there are enough choices here to suit nearly everyone’s needs.
