Novatel MiFi 2372 turns media server with DLNA support
Novatel Wireless has clinched DLNA certification for the MiFi 2372, turning the portable 3G hotspot into a mini media server. A new app running on the MiFi OS – the hotspot’s own operating system – the DLNA Server functionality can share content stored on a microSD card to nearby smartphones, notebooks and WiFi-compatible HDTVs.
That media could be music – bypassing limited space on cellphones – or it could include photos or video; Novatel suggests shooting video on a phone then switching the microSD card into the MiFi so that multiple viewers could access it. More on the MiFi 2372 in the full SlashGear review.

How To Set Up A Home Media Server With Jellyfin On Ubuntu
Jellyfin is a media server for streaming and organizing pictures, video, and audio. Unlike other solutions on the market, Jellyfin is completely free with no paid features or premium upgrade plans and allows you to have full control over your media. Any device with a modern web browser can access and stream from Jellyfin, and there are applications for Android, Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
Here’s how you can set up your own media streaming server with Jellyfin.
Before You BeginYou will need a 64-bit device running Ubuntu 18.04 desktop or server edition. This can be anything from an old laptop you have lying around to a high-end dual socket server, but make sure you have enough storage space for all your media files. For better performance, use a wired network connection rather than Wi-Fi.
You will also need to set a static IP address on your Ubuntu machine.
Installing JellyfinStart by updating your Ubuntu system:

Adding UsersThe default user account created by the wizard has administrator access and thus should not be shared. Instead, you can create other Jellyfin accounts for your family members, friends, and so on.
Installing Jellyfin PluginsAfter you restart Jellyfin, your plugins are ready for use.

What is Plex Media Server?Like we said before, you can now convert any of your devices Windows computers, Mac, smartphones, etc into a video streaming service. The medium here is Plex. The Plex Media Server is an organizational tool or digital media player that lets you access videos, music, and pictures stored on one device from another device.

What Does Plex Do?Plex consists of two software components, namely the server and the client. The server is the place where you will be storing all your media files and the client where you will be playing the media files. You can then access media files that are stored on your computer/ Mac or any other device that has Plex Media Server. You can even allow your friends and family to access the same.
How Plex Works? How To Set Up/ Install Plex Media ServerYou will be required to install the Plex Media Server on your computer, Mac or NAS. This will be the place where you store all your movies, videos, music, etc. Second, install the Plex app (the client) on other devices ranging from Smart TV, smartphone, computer, Mac, etc. We’d suggest that you sign-up for the service before installing Plex (client or server) as shown below –
1. Download and run the Plex Media Server app for your Mac or Windows desktop or laptop or any of the specified platforms
2. When Plex icon shows up on your menu bar, select the icon and then open Plex
3. Create a Plex account, if you haven’t yet before you access the files. And if you have, log in using your credentials.
4. After you have logged in follow the setup guide. Here you will be installing the server software
6. Next, you can give your server a friendly name
7. On the next page, you can Add Library (the location on your computer where you have placed media files). Here you can even select your Library type (Movies, TV Shows, Music, Photos, Games and Other Videos)
8. Segregate media by selecting appropriate folders for movies, TV shows, and music
9. Once the setup is done. Plex will search online for descriptions, posters, actors, and more information about the files you have chosen
Now, till the time the server computer is on and till the time Plex is running, you will be able to access your files on chúng tôi across the globe.

During its 2023 WWDC keynote address, Apple today announced tvOS 17. Now, tvOS obviously doesn’t have as high a profile as Apple’s other platforms, like iOS or macOS, but the update does bring about some significant new features and improvements, such as FaceTime and video conferencing, an all-new Control Center, and more.
FaceTimeEasily the most noteworthy new feature of tvOS 17 is its support for FaceTime. Bringing video conferencing to the biggest screen in the home has long been a dream of Apple and users alike, and now it’s coming to fruition. It accomplishes this via its Continuity Camera feature, which uses the camera on your iPhone or iPad to wireless stream video calls to your Apple TV. Lyrics to their chosen song will appear on screen, animated along to the music, and using the Continuity Camera feature, users can even see themselves performing on screen, customized with entertaining filters. Apple doesn’t offer a lot of details here, and maybe there’s nothing more to add right now, but this feels like this could be a significant new feature if fleshed out a bit.
New Control CenterThe new Control Center on Apple TV makes it easier for users to access key settings and information from anywhere within tvOS. CC now displays system status, including the time and current active profile, as well as other helpful details based on the user’s activity. So if you’re using AirPods paired with the Apple TV, you would be able to see their battery life status, and quickly access settings for them such as Spatial Audio.
Find My Siri RemotetvOS 17 strengthens the integration of Apple TV and iPhone with the ability to locate the Siri Remote.
