Every time we are hit by the FIFA World Cup fever, we desire to stay on top of all the latest action. Being a huge football fan myself, I have managed to bring together the best FIFA World Cup apps for iPhone. These apps ensure you can keep a tab on everything taking place on the football field.

Not only this, but the app also tells you which broadcasting channel you can watch your favorite match on – pretty much a TV guide.

3. ESPN – Live Sports & Scores
If you are passionate football, then this ESPN app is for you. It not only covers all of the excitement from Qatar’s hosting of the 2023 FIFA World Cup, but it also keeps you up to date on other sports. I personally follow a couple of other categories covered by the app, including the NBA, NFL, Soccer, and Tennis.
I frequently check the app’s news section to stay up to date on what’s going on in various leagues when I don’t have the time to watch them. Visitors who subscribe to ESPN+ receive additional perks via the app.
Plus, customers have access to the games that air on the ESPN network. Like the other applications on this list, ESPN offers you news with facts and bases. Furthermore, the most recent software update allows you to restart from where you left off, eliminating the need to constantly return and find out what you were viewing last and where you left off.
You will be able to share live scores with your friends, thanks to the iMessage plugin. Even better, you can watch video highlights without having to exit your iOS device’s Messages app.
Cover facts, not rumors

Sporting the same semi-transparent design as the Nothing Ear (1) headphones launched the year before, the Phone (1) looks just as intriguing, sporting a semi-transparent back with unique LEDs.
Read on to find out how to get the Phone (1) at the best price – or read our review of the phone to find out what we think of it.Where is the Phone (1) available?
The Nothing Phone (1) is officially available from across the UK, Europe, and Asia.
It’s not officially on sale in the US, but you can now buy it. That’s by joining the company’s new ‘Nothing OS 1.5 beta membership‘, a paid programme that nets you the phone at a discounted price, but with the stipulation that you’re officially beta testing its software, and that it may not work with every carrier.
More specifically, the company warns that 5G will only work on T-Mobile – and not with full coverage – with Verizon and AT&T both limited to 4G only. Verizon coverage in particular is warned to be “very limited.”
This beta programme only runs until 30 June 2023, so the phone may not be available after that point – or, if it goes well, perhaps that means the phone will get an official release in the States instead. How much does the Nothing Phone (1) cost?
The Nothing Phone (1) comes in three versions:
8GB + 128GB: £399/€469/₹33,999
8GB + 256GB: £449/€499/₹36,999
12GB + 256GB: £499/€549/₹39,999
That’s a competitive price that puts the phone firmly in the territory of our mid-range phone ranking, up against rivals like the OnePlus Nord 2T and Samsung Galaxy A53 – though if you’re in India, note that the price has jumped by ₹1,000 since launch because of “fluctuating currency exchange rates & rising component costs.”
That may have partly been to make room for the cheaper Ear (Stick) buds though, which have since launched at around the same price the Ear (1) debuted at – we’re not expecting to see any similar cheaper phone arrive to supplant the Phone (1) any time soon.
In the US, the Nothing beta membership gets you the 8GB+128GB model in black for just $299 – approximately $100 cheaper than its equivalent price elsewhere. Of course, given the stipulation that it’s a beta test and your carrier support will be limited, that seems pretty fair.Where can I buy the Nothing Phone (1) SIM-free?
Before launch, Nothing made a lot of fuss about having an invite-only pre-order system, with a waitlist and referral system in place. That’s now closed, but the good news is that you can now simply… buy a phone. It’s a radical reinvention of the purchasing system, we know.
The phone is available SIM-free direct from Nothing itself, from Amazon, or from Selfridges in the UK. You can also pick it up without a SIM from O2, both online and in-store.
It’s a similar story outside of the UK, with availability from Flipkart in India and a range of carriers and electronics stores – including Amazon – across Europe.
As mentioned above, in the US your only option for now is to buy the phone direct from Nothing through the beta membership.

How we tested the UX
Without doubt, the KEYone is one of the most unique devices on the list as it’s the only one to offer a full QWERTY keyboard. A throwback to a previous era, the KEYone offers pretty impressive specs – at least for a BlackBerry – but other than the keyboard, there’s not a lot that stands out about the KEYone. The large bezels, slow updates, older OS, and otherwise lack of standout features mean the KEYone scores bottom of our overall UX rankings with 33 points.Razer Phone
A newcomer to the smartphone space, the Razer Phone is a smartphone designed for gamers and while it looks great on paper, we’ve found the phone doesn’t quite deliver on all of its promises. However, features such as an outstanding variable refresh rate display – which is the first smartphone to go all the way up to 120Hz – help the Razer Phone score a little higher than the BlackBerry at 40 points.OnePlus 5T
Next up is the OnePlus 5T, and OnePlus’ latest smartphone takes the excellent OnePlus 5 and makes it a little better with a taller display and smaller bezels. A higher screen-to-body ratio helps differentiate the 5T from its sibling but other than this, there’s not a lot that stands out about OnePlus 5T. A score of 42 points is indicative of its overall UX placing.Moto Z2 Force
Next up is Google’s latest smartphone and while the rest on our list have a feature or two that some consider gimmicky, the Pixel 2 XL offers the Android experience as Google imagined it. Unfortunately, as far as wish-lists for smartphones go, the latest OS and speed of updates only go a little way towards addressing the lack of features that we feel should be present in all flagships, such as a dual camera and expandable memory. A score of 48 points puts the Pixel 2 XL firmly in the middle of the pack as far as the UX goes.Nokia 8
Nokia’s back, or at least in some form. Finnish company HMD bought us the first Nokia Android phones earlier this year and the company’s first flagship, the Nokia 8, has certainly surprised all of the team here with its overall experience. The dual camera, splash-proof IP rating and great front camera help the Nokia 8 score 49 points overall.Sony Xperia XZ1
Sony might release a lot of smartphones but its latest flagship, the XZ1, is definitely an interesting smartphone. It offers a lot we’d expect from a flagship including expandable storage, excellent camera features in the form of the 3D scanning, latest Oreo OS and all-round impressive hardware help the XZ1 score 52 points overall.HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro
Now to the top 3 and where these phones stand out from the rest is that they tick a lot of hardware boxes we’d expect from the best smartphones. The Mate 10 Pro is the first of these with an excellent Leica dual camera, supremely small bezels, high base storage and HDR 10 support in its display. Slower updates compared to other devices and duplicated apps somewhat detract from the overall experience, but the Mate 10 Pro comes third with a score of 58 points.Samsung Galaxy Note 8
The Galaxy Note 8 is next up on the list and firmly splits the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro and the overall UX winner, the LG V30. Samsung bounced back from a horrendous late 2024 with some outstanding devices this year and the Note 8 has blown away a lot of the competition thanks to its S-Pen, outstanding display which also supports HDR 10 and features such as the edge screen. The biggest let downs in the overall experience are that it’s not running the latest OS version and there are quite a few duplicated apps. A score of 61 points is indicative of an overall very good smartphone.LG V30
The winner of the UX section is the LG V30 as LG’s flagship ticks more boxes than any of the competition. Although not running the latest Oreo OS, the V30 hits all boxes as far as display and audio features go, as well as having above-par shock protection, dual cameras, expandable storage and a lot more. Although it’s not running the latest OS and the interface won’t be for everyone, the LG V30 stands out with 64 points, especially thanks to the excellent features it has in its camera! Conclusion
