Different Ways To Delete Temporary Files On Windows 11/10

Your Windows operating system and many third-party applications create hundreds of Temporary files on your system in one single day. Normally, these files do not cause any issue, but when they increase exponentially in numbers, they block valuable space on the hard drive and degrade the overall performance of your system.

By deleting all such Cache files, you can free up a lot of disk space and keep your machine running at peak efficiency. There are many ways to delete Temporary files on Windows 10. Read further to know them.

Temporary files are created by both the Operating System and the software running on your computer system. Temporary files are denoted with a file type of .tmp or prefaced with a tilde (~). Typically, temporary files are created in the Windows Temp folder and are used for many reasons, these include the following:

3] Save this file to your desktop using the extension .bat. Here the file is named as Clean Temp.

1] Open the Start Menu and type cmd.

If you’ve ever wanted to dip your toes into the vast ocean of Linux software, but you enjoy the comfort of your Mac, then you’re in the right place. Today, we’re going to break down six methods of running Linux software on your Mac – making it easy to experience the power of open-source software and turbo-charge your Mac at the same time.

1. Use the MacPorts Package Manager

MacPorts is a community-driven package manager designed to simplify the process of compiling, installing, and upgrading open-source software on your Mac. It provides access to thousands of ready-made ports of Linux software, and you can get started with it in a few simple steps:

Apple’s Xcode Command Line Tools is a prerequisite for using MacPorts. You can install Xcode by opening Terminal on your Mac and run the command: xcode-select --install

The Quick Start guide provides handy packages for all recent versions of macOS, as well as links to legacy versions for Mac OS X.

Enable the Run this program in compatibility mode for checkbox and select the right operating system from the list. If you don’t know which version of Windows can run the program correctly, work your way backward from Windows 8 all the way down to Windows 95.

That’s just about it. You can enable things like the Reduced color mode or Change high DPI settings if you are facing color or font issues. Apply after every change and test the program to see what works.

Usually, you will be able to get any old program running with one of the compatibility modes. In case it still doesn’t work, the issue might lie in the lack of the correct DirectX version or a missing DLL.
